The Crystal Ballroom was rockin last night with Ani DiFranco and her band on the stage. The opening act, Judy Grahn & Animal Prufrock, consisted of a female poet, along with a keyboardist/sin  ger, and a guitar player. They had an interesting style that seemed to entertain some, but a lot of the crowd held conversations with those around them until Ani appeared on stage.

Ani was accompanied by a drummer, upright bassist, and xylophone player. Her bandmates all took a rest at some point throughout the show, but Ani never stopped. She played guitar after guitar and kept the crowd alive and wanting more.

Ani played a lot of her classics while including pieces from her newest album. During her performance she thanked the crowd multiple times for being there and reminisced about seeing shows at the Crystal herself. She appeared for an encore after stepping off the stage and continued to play for another 5 or 6 songs. it was a great show!
