Whole Foods Market in NW has a bin where you can recycle all the plastic bags hiding in your cupboards and garages. Located in the parking garage by the store entrance is a bin for recyclables such as plastic tubs, bottles, and bags. So if you're not going to reuse those plastic bags, take them back to the store along with you to recycle on your way in. Thanks Whole Foods!

The Crystal Ballroom was rockin last night with Ani DiFranco and her band on the stage. The opening act, Judy Grahn & Animal Prufrock, consisted of a female poet, along with a keyboardist/sin  ger, and a guitar player. They had an interesting style that seemed to entertain some, but a lot of the crowd held conversations with those around them until Ani appeared on stage.

The warm weather and clear skies will make it possible to view the International Space Station as well as Mars and Saturn tonight. OMSI is having a star party at Rooster Rock to help Portlanders check it out. Whip out those telescopes and check it out!

At home, the Blazers won their 10th in a row last night against the Denver Nuggets. The final score was 99-96 and it was a nail biter up until the last few seconds of the fourth. Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson both had 34 points and played 40+ minutes against the dominating Blazers. Martell Webster led the team with 19 points while LaMarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy tied with 18 points each.

Apparently Paul Allen is busy trying to find a corporate sponsor for the Rose Garden Arena, and he is offering the name of the building to the winner. The Rose Garden was opened in 1995 and has been a Portland icon since. This name change could spark a huge controversy between the owners of the building, and the hundreds of thousands of fans who consider the Rose Garden home to the Trailblazers, Lumberjacks and host to many concerts and other types of entertainment.

Does anyone else think its weird that the Christmas shopping and decorating season started early this year? I always thought it began after Thanksgiving, but this year people are already shopping and putting up lights before the holiday feast. I saw this house near N Skidmore and Williams decorated with colored lights and hanging icicle lights on the gutters. It's also decked out with snowmen window stickers and holiday windsocks blowing in the breeze.

Anyone else feel the same?
