It's darkly tinted glass here. I don't see pink on this either. I do see it in the other photo from the morrison bridge but that is just due to how the light is reflected off the building and what distance and angle we see things at. The building itself definitely not pink. Until now, I've never heard this tower referred to as "big pink."

it's definitely pink, no doubt about it- but like ericano says, it's best on a clear sunny day. the gloom here in portland makes even red seem dull sometimes

geez greeny cheer up! The Gray makes the colors that much more precious! Today was a beautiful dance of rain and sun and fog. Without this faux-gloom from the weather, the city and it's people would be too cheery, too complacent, and too comfortable! Bring on the gray and we'll all respond with a little pink and blue.
