To celebrate their history and to go out with some fun, Music Millennium is hosting a series of concerts and having a sale for their last 3 days. After August 31st, the NW 23rd location will be closed. We have [6894 discussed this elsewhere], and it will be a sad day for the neighborhood (surely further corporatizing 23rd). At least for the next 3 days they will be having some fun and inviting in the neighborhood for some free concerts.
Hat Tip to dieselboi at Metblogs for the headsup.

I used to worked there 4 years ago and I've been very sadden by the closing of this music landmark where music and people used to matter.
I feel very compelled to make a documentary about how this closing impacted on our lives/routines in the NW community.
What does it feel like to walk by this empty corner of NW23rd & Johnson where it used to be the only source of music in the NW community?
I am especially interested in knowing some of the regulars who used to come almost everyday and that being the highlight of their days...what's happening to their days now? where are they hanging out? I'd like to follow their new paths and hear what they have to say.
Do you miss Music Millennium as much as I do?
